SAS Sports Ltd is a New Zealand-based entity with leading sports apparel brands and manufacturing plants in Sri Lanka and Thailand. We are looking for dynamic individuals to join our Sri Lankan office to remotely handle New Zealand accounts for Smartstaff Limited.
Accounts Executive
Job Purpose
- Drive ongoing performance improvement.
- Play a team role in assisting a group win situation.

- Support senior staff in handling project accounts and taxation.
Principal Accountabilities
- Preparation of client financial statements and filing of income tax returns.
- Handling client queries.
- Achieving deadlines on specific client requirements.
- Invoicing, Revenue & Expense reconciliations.
- Preparing Bank reconciliations.
- Inventory Reconciliations.
- Handling statutory payments.
- Good analytical skills.
- Promotes independence and accuracy in work.
- Good team player with an attitude of willingness to learn and take responsibilities.
- Timely submission of Tax requirements (GST/FBT/WHT).
Experience/Competencies Required
- Part Qualified in CA SL, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent qualification.
- Excellent knowledge in MS Office (Especially advanced Excel & PowerPoint Presentation).
- Knowledge in XERO Software is added advantage.
- At least 3 years of accounting and taxation experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication in English.
- New Zealand or Australian BPO experience will be an added advantage.
- Age below 30 years.
Assistant Accountant
Job Purpose

- Review and preparation of client financial statements and filing of income tax returns.
- Handling client queries.
- Guide and train staff members to achieve the deadlines.
- Invoicing, Revenue & Expense reconciliations.
- Preparing Bank reconciliations.
- Inventory Reconciliations.
- Handling statutory payments.
- Good analytical skills.
- Promotes independence and accuracy in work.
- Good team player with an attitude of willingness to learn and take responsibilities.
- Timely submission of Tax requirements (GST/FBT/WHT).

- Finalist/ Part Qualified in CA SL, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent qualification.

- Excellent verbal and written communication in English.
