Accounting Clerk
Role Summary
Jaindi Exports (Pvt) Ltd is a well reputed large scale coconut based food and beverage products manufacturer & exporter under the brand name econutrena. Primarily based in Sri Lanka, the company offers an expanding & diversified product portfolio ranging from coconut based products a range of organic spices, fruits, Ayurvedic and beverage products to the global market.
Key Responsibilities
- Generating and issuing accurate sales invoices and credit notes to customers.
- Allocating incoming customer payments to the correct invoices in the accounting system.
- Following up on overdue accounts and sending payment reminders to clients.
- Matching supplier invoices against purchase orders and entering them into the system.
- Preparing scheduled supplier payment runs for management approval.
- Downloading daily bank statements to monitor opening balances and cash flow.
- Processing and recording all incoming checks, cash, and electronic fund transfers.
- Matching daily bank statement transactions against the general ledger.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in accounting or finance-related roles (fresh graduates with strong academic performance may also be considered).
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
- Knowledge of taxation and statutory requirements is an added advantage.
- Preferred candidates who are living close by Negambo/Pannala/Dankotuwa area.
- Prior experience in the FMCG or manufacturing industry will be a definite advantage.
