Accountant

Key Responsibilities

• Reconcile revenue from multiple points of sale with bank deposits daily.
• Prior working experience on Quick Book and MS Office is essential.
• Tax Knowledge, calculate the Import cost and capability maintains the stock will be advantageous.
• Ability to discuss with IRD, Bank, External audits, Internal Audits and local authorities.
• Perform bank reconciliations maintain the general ledger, and oversee journals and accruals.
• Handle all aspects of statutory compliance, including VAT, WHT, etc.
• Support monthly and annual VAT return filing and liaise with tax authorities.
• Cash flow management and ability to overlook activities of assistance.
• Manage accounts Payable and Receivables and cheque writing.

Requirements/Qualifications

• Degree in Accountancy or equivalent qualifications.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in an audit firm and minimum 2 years’ experience in commercial sector in Accountant capacity.

Location

Must reside in Colombo (Borella, Narahenpita, Rajagiriya, Bambalapitiya).
