Accounting Specialist
Role Summary
Seasons of Ceylon, a brand of Worldwide Commodities (Pvt) Ltd, is a renowned exporter of True Ceylon Cinnamon. We are looking to expand our finance and accounts team.
Accountant: Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
- Manage budgeting, cash flow, and financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with auditors, banks, and government authorities.
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed assets.
- Analyze financial performance and support management decision-making.
- Supervise and guide the finance team.
Accountant: Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Fully or Partly Qualified in CA Sri Lanka / CIMA / ACCA.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a similar capacity.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, taxation, and ERP / accounting software.
- Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
Accounts Executive: Key Responsibilities
- Process daily accounting transactions including receipts, payments, and journal entries.
- Prepare bank reconciliations and supplier / customer account reconciliations.
- Assist in preparing monthly management accounts and financial reports.
- Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation.
- Support inventory accounting and stock reconciliations.
- Assist with statutory payments and other finance-related activities.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Finance Manager.
Accounts Executive: Requirements
- Partly Qualified in CA Sri Lanka / CIMA / ACCA / AAT or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar position.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
