Accountant | Accounts Executive

Company: Worldwide Commodities (Pvt) Ltd

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
Manage budgeting, cash flow, and financial reporting.
Ensure compliance with statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements.
Coordinate with auditors, banks, and government authorities.
Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed assets.
Analyze financial performance and support management decision-making.
Supervise and guide the finance team.

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Fully or Partly Qualified in CA Sri Lanka / CIMA / ACCA.
Minimum 5 years' experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a similar capacity.
Strong knowledge of financial reporting, taxation, and ERP/accounting software.
Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills.

Process daily accounting transactions including receipts, payments, and journal entries.
Prepare bank reconciliations and supplier / customer account reconciliations.
Assist in preparing monthly management accounts and financial reports.
Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation.
Support inventory accounting and stock reconciliations.
Assist with statutory payments and other finance-related activities.
Perform any other duties assigned by the Finance Manager.

Partly Qualified in CA Sri Lanka / CIMA / ACCA / AAT or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar position.
Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
