Role Summary

Hemas COE (Pvt) Ltd is looking for a passionate and experienced finance professional to join our team as an Assistant Manager – Accounts Payable. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing end-to-end Accounts Payable operations while ensuring service excellence, process efficiency, compliance, and continuous improvement within a dynamic shared services environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end Accounts Payable process, including invoice processing, payment processing, vendor reconciliations, and account clearing activities.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of supplier invoices in accordance with established policies, procedures, and service level agreements.
  • Review and approve AP transactions, reconciliations, and accounting entries to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Drive timely resolution of invoice discrepancies, payment issues, and aged outstanding items.
  • Monitor Accounts Payable ageing and maintain effective stakeholder and vendor relationships.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities related to Accounts Payable.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and finance governance standards.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and operational efficiencies.
  • Lead, coach, and develop team members to achieve performance excellence.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth and effective service delivery.

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field and/or a professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, CA, or an equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Accounts Payable, Finance Operations, or a Shared Services environment.
  • Prior experience in supervising or managing a team.
  • Strong understanding of AP processes, accounting principles, and internal controls.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP experience will be an added advantage).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results within deadlines.
