We are a leading Workforce Management and HR Solutions company seeking an experienced and dynamic Assistant Manager – Human Resources to join our team. The ideal candidate should possess strong HR generalist experience, excellent employee relations skills, and the proven ability to manage HR operations for a large workforce in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as the primary point of contact for Department Managers, providing expert advice on employee relations, labour legislation, and HR policies.
Manage and resolve employee grievances and conflicts in a timely, fair, and confidential manner.
Oversee the company’s HR and payroll system, ensuring data integrity and accurate processing.
Support the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and separation.
Ensure the organization remains compliant with all statutory requirements and internal policies.
Contribute to the development and implementation of HR initiatives that align with business goals.
Drive HR initiatives and continuous improvement projects that support business objectives.
Build effective relationships with internal stakeholders and guide people management best practices.
Qualifications & Experience:
A Diploma in Human Resource Management from CIPM or an equivalent professional qualification.
Excellent academic credentials.
A minimum of 10 years of demonstrable experience in a generalist HR role, ideally within a similar industry.
Proven experience in independently handling HR operations for a workforce of approximately 1,500 employees.
Proven proficiency in using HRIS/payroll systems.

Possesses exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral) to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.
Is a dynamic, proactive, and collaborative team player with a strong results orientation.
Demonstrates a methodical, organized, and detail-oriented work style.
Sound knowledge of Sri Lankan labour legislation and statutory compliance.
Hands-on experience with HRIS and payroll systems.
Has a mature, professional demeanor and the ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion.
Age should be below 50 years
