Assistant Librarian

Role Summary

The University of Kelaniya invites applications for the post of Assistant Librarian (on a six-month contract basis) for the Faculty of Computing and Technology.

Educational Qualifications

• A First or a Second Class (Upper Division) in a Bachelor's Special or Honours Degree; OR
• A Second Class (Lower Division) in a Bachelor's Special or Honours Degree or a Bachelor's degree (general) with a First or a Second Class (Upper Division); OR
• A Bachelor's Honours or Bachelor's degree and a Postgraduate Degree of at least 02 academic years duration in the field of Library and Information Sciences with a research component by way of thesis/dissertation.

Notes

• Preference will be given to candidates specialized in Management, Engineering, ICT, or Technological Science.
• Applicants may be required to pass a written examination.
• Evidence of active research or professional experience is an important selection factor.
