Finance Project Partner - New Business (Assistant Manager Level)
Role Summary
Ceylon Cold Stores PLC (CCS), a subsidiary of John Keells Holdings PLC, is seeking a Finance Project Partner to oversee all financial aspects of sector New Business Related Projects from initiation through completion. The role involves financial feasibility studies, contract negotiations, project funding management, board documentation, and maintaining accurate financial records throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation of comprehensive project feasibility reports by consolidating insights from research, operational, and finance teams.
- Collaborate with internal finance, tax, and corporate finance teams to develop detailed financial feasibility assessments.
- Prepare and submit Board approval documentation for new projects.
- Work with research agencies to obtain data and management insights.
- Coordinate with the legal team to finalize finance-related clauses in project contracts.
- Review and maintain project documentation, including contracts, guarantees, and letters of credit.
- Verify contractor insurance policies against contractual requirements.
- Liaise with banking partners and group treasury to secure financial arrangements.
- Oversee project-related payments, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and maintenance of financial records.
- Provide periodic reports (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly) including variance analysis and updated forecasts.
- Ensure timely closure of project accounts.
- Prepare and submit statutory government reports and tax returns.
- Undertake additional assignments as directed by the Accounting Supervisor.
Requirements/Qualifications
- Professional Qualification: Associate member of Chartered Institute of Management Accountants UK or Chartered Institute of Sri Lanka.
- Experience: Over 3 years’ experience in data analytics, feasibility preparation, and Project Accounting.
- Knowledge: Thorough knowledge of standard contract terms, financial modeling, IRR/ROI calculations, funding methods, import terms, and project structures in a manufacturing company.
- Skills: Computer literate with sound knowledge of Microsoft Office. Strong business acumen, analytical, innovative, communication (written & verbal), adaptability, negotiation, decision-making, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
