Junior Executive - New product Development (NPD)

Role Summary

We are looking for self-motivated, dynamic individuals with a high degree of drive, enthusiasm, and excellent communication skills to join us at our manufacturing facilities in Ingiriya.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement new products in line with market demand, customer requirements, and technical specifications.
• Support the Director – Factory Operations in the development of new and existing products, as well as process improvement initiatives, based on customer feedback and departmental requirements.
• Conduct accurate product costing for proposed new products and enhancements to existing products to ensure commercial viability and profitability.
• Identify opportunities for product enhancements and new product development by conducting market research, analyzing industry trends, assessing future customer expectations, evaluating competitor activities, and collaborating with relevant departments.

Requirements/Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university.
• Proven capability in product design and development.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks, with hands-on experience in creating engineering drawings and 3D models.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment will be a distinct advantage.
• Demonstrates a high level of responsibility, commitment, and flexibility in working hours to meet organizational objectives and project deadlines.
