Role Summary
Omobio is seeking a dedicated Associate Operations Engineer to join our team. This role focuses on ensuring the stability and reliability of our production environments through proactive monitoring and efficient troubleshooting of systems and networks.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and support stable IT operations within a 24x7 shift-based framework.
- Monitor production environments and troubleshoot application or system-level issues.
- Manage Linux/Unix systems, including service management and log analysis.
- Address networking connectivity concerns involving TCP/IP, DNS, and routing.
- Collaborate with both internal technical teams and external customers to resolve incidents.
Requirements & Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Systems, Networking, or a related field.
- At least one year of professional experience in system administration, application support, or IT operations.
- Prior experience in Telecom, NOC, or production support environments is highly valued.
- Foundational knowledge of web servers (Apache/Nginx) and databases (MySQL/MariaDB).
- Familiarity with monitoring tools like Zabbix or Nagios and shell scripting.
- Understanding of incident management, SLA, and RCA processes using tools like Jira or ServiceNow.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate effectively in English.
- Must be willing to work rotating shifts to support 24/7 operations.
