Junior Production Engineer / Production Engineer

Role Summary

Okaya Lanka (Pvt) Ltd is a Japanese-owned, BOI-registered, export-oriented manufacturing company located in the Katunayake Export Processing Zone. We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Production Engineer to join our Engineering Team.

Requirements/Qualifications

• HNDE / NDT / NDES or a B.Sc. in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Candidates with 2–3 years of relevant industrial experience are also welcome.
• Good knowledge of AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
• Knowledge of PLCs and Pneumatic Systems will be an added advantage.
• Sound knowledge of manufacturing processes.
• Strong planning and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Basic leadership and coordination abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Office and engineering software.
• Positive attitude with a willingness to learn.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide engineering and technical support for production operations.
• Assist in introducing new products, machinery, and process improvements.
• Conduct equipment testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
• Prepare engineering documents, reports, and technical specifications.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve engineering issues.
• Participate in continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives.
