Associate QA Engineer

Role Summary

Iykons is seeking a detail-oriented Associate QA Engineer to join our Agile team in Vavuniya. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining high software standards by rigorously testing and refining our products to ensure they meet user expectations and business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate business requirements and user stories to create comprehensive test scenarios.
• Execute manual testing, including functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance tests.
• Detect, record, and monitor software bugs using specialized tracking tools.
• Work closely with developers, product owners, and analysts within an Agile framework.
• Support API and database verification tasks.
• Assist with the transition toward automation testing and help improve overall QA workflows.

Requirements & Qualifications

• A university degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or a similar discipline.
• At least 2 years of professional experience in software quality assurance.
• Solid grasp of the STLC and SDLC processes, along with Agile/Scrum practices.
• Proficiency in designing test cases and managing the defect life cycle.
• Preferred: Experience with Postman/Swagger, SQL, or automation frameworks like Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress.
• Preferred: ISTQB Foundation Certification.
