Job Title: Merchandiser (Athleisure / Activewear)

Join an exciting contemporary activewear and athleisure brand with a growing presence in Sri Lanka, Australia, and New Zealand. We are looking for an experienced Merchandiser with strong product development and commercial skills to help drive the next stage of our growth. This is an opportunity to work closely with design, sourcing, and manufacturing teams to deliver commercially successful collections.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage the end-to-end product development & merchandising process from concept to final production.
• Source fabrics, trims, and accessories from local and international suppliers.
• Prepare garment costings and negotiate with suppliers to achieve the best commercial outcomes.
• Coordinate sample development and ensure products meet design, quality, fit, and commercial requirements.
• Work closely with the design team to deliver commercially successful collections.
• Monitor the critical path to ensure on-time development and production.
• Plan and coordinate shipments to Australia and New Zealand and manage logistics to ensure timely product availability.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with stock planning and replenishment.
• Continuously identify new sourcing opportunities, fabric innovations, and cost-saving initiatives.

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 3–4 years' experience in apparel merchandising, product management, or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of fabrics, garment construction, sourcing, costing, and product development.
• Experience managing supplier relationships, sampling, production, and logistics.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, analytical, and organisational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with inventory or merchandising systems will be an advantage.
• Degree or Diploma in Clothing, Textile, Merchandising, Fashion, Business, or a related field is preferred.
