Role Summary

We are looking for highly experienced audit or investigation professionals to join our expanding Internal Audit Team on an assignment basis. We invite applications from retired professionals with strong Banking & Finance sector exposure.

Base Location - Malabe

Key Responsibilities

• Perform thematic audits and process audits in line with the annual audit plan.
• Conduct investigations and assist in preparing comprehensive audit and investigation reports within timelines.
• Carry out risk-based audits, operational reviews, and special assignments independently with minimum supervision.
• Review branch and departmental operations to ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Identify operational weaknesses, irregularities, process gaps, and areas for improvement.
• Maintain accurate audit evidence, documentation, and investigation records related to findings.
• Support management in strengthening governance, risk management, and internal control processes.
• Ensure confidentiality, professionalism, and integrity while handling sensitive information and investigations.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Retired Auditors, Investigation Officers, or related professionals with proven industry experience.
• Previous Banking & Finance sector experience is compulsory.
• Prior exposure to internal audits, branch audits, compliance reviews, investigations, or risk-based auditing will be a strong advantage.
• Professional qualifications such as CA, CIMA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent will be an added advantage.
• Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
• Excellent report writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage assignments professionally.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Willingness to travel substations at short notice when required.
