Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Assistant Vice President – Finance to lead the financial governance and performance of Resplendent Ceylon's multi-property portfolio. Reporting to the VP – Finance, this senior leadership role is responsible for financial reporting, tax compliance, treasury, budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and strategic financial planning while ensuring strong internal controls and governance across the Group.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and mentor Finance Managers across all properties, driving consistency in accounting standards and reporting.
Coordinate with regulatory authorities.
Work closely with the Executive Committee and General Managers.
Support strategic decision-making, capital investment analysis, Board reporting, and due diligence activities.
Champion process improvements through automation and AI-powered analytics.
Provide financial management leadership, including working capital management and oversight of multi-site finance teams.
Develop the Group's next generation of finance leaders.

Requirements/Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, with a professional qualification (CIMA, ACCA, CA, or CMA); a Master’s degree or MBA is an added advantage.
8–10 years of progressive finance experience, including 4–5 years in a senior leadership role within the hospitality industry; multi-property experience is preferred.
Strong knowledge of hotel finance, including USALI reporting, budgeting, forecasting, costing, revenue management, IFRS/LKAS, treasury, internal controls, and Sri Lankan tax regulations.
Proven experience managing tax audits, statutory compliance, and leading high-performing finance teams across multiple locations.
Proficiency in financial systems, advanced Microsoft Excel, AI-powered analytics tools, and presenting financial insights to senior leadership.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and stakeholder management skills, with a proactive, results-oriented approach and high ethical standards.
