Job Vacancy: Part-Time Band Master
Amal International School is seeking a passionate, skilled, and experienced Part-Time Band Master to train, develop, and lead our school band.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular band training and rehearsals for students across all sections of the school band.
- Provide proper training and guidance in Brass, Woodwind, Percussion, and other relevant instrumental sections.
- Prepare and train the band for school events, ceremonies, competitions, parades, and other performances.
- Conduct sectional practices and full-band rehearsals effectively.
- Identify students' strengths and provide appropriate guidance to improve their individual musical abilities.
- Ensure proper discipline, coordination, and professional standards during band practices and performances.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Band Master / School Band Instructor, preferably in a school environment.
- Strong musical knowledge and ability to train students in all major sections of a school band, including Brass, Woodwind, Percussion, and other relevant instrumental sections.
- Ability to conduct and manage both sectional and full-band training.
- Experience in preparing school bands for competitions, parades, and public performances will be an added advantage.
- Ability to train, motivate, and manage students of different age groups.
- Strong leadership, communication, organisation, and musical skills.
- Relevant qualifications or professional experience in Music/Band Training will be an advantage.
- Ability to identify and carry out minor repairs and basic maintenance of band instruments.
