Engineer – Beam Launching Gantry
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university.
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in bridge construction, including at least two (2) years involving Beam Launching Gantry operations.
- Experience in the launching and erection of precast PSC/U-Girders, I-Girders, or Segmental Bridge Girders.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, supervise, and coordinate all Beam Launching Gantry operations.
- Ensure girders are erected safely, accurately, and in accordance with approved drawings and method statements.
- Monitor gantry assembly, launching, dismantling, and relocation activities.
- Conduct pre-launch inspections and ensure that all equipment is fit for operation.
Foreman – Beam Launching Gantry
Requirements
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in bridge construction, including at least two (2) years supervising Beam Launching Gantry operations.
- Experience in leading crews involved in girder erection and heavy lifting activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure lifting activities are carried out in accordance with approved procedures.
- Verify that all lifting equipment and accessories are inspected before use.
- Ensure compliance with HSE requirements and safe work practices.
Operator – Beam Launching Gantry
Requirements
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in operating Beam Launching Gantry Cranes.
- Proven experience in launching precast bridge girders for expressway or viaduct projects.
- Valid heavy machinery operator certification/licence.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate the Beam Launching Gantry safely and efficiently during girder erection operations.
- Perform pre-operation inspections of hydraulic, electrical, braking, and lifting systems.
General Requirements
The ideal candidate should be a team player, have positive interpersonal and communication skills, and the willingness to work extended hours when necessary. Familiarity with modern construction methodologies and industry technologies will be an added advantage.
