BIM Specialist

Role Summary

Sumathi Information Technologies (Private) Limited, a fully owned subsidiary of Sumathi Holdings, is seeking a skilled and motivated BIM Technician with strong Revit modelling capabilities to join our BIM team. The company's UAV Division pioneers innovative technologies, delivering cutting-edge solutions for a diverse range of industries.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop accurate 3D BIM models using Autodesk Revit, primarily based on architectural drawings, with exposure to structural and MEP inputs.
• Develop BIM models from point cloud / laser scanning data for Scan-to-BIM and as-built documentation projects.
• Prepare plans, elevations, sections, schedules, and construction documentation derived from BIM models.
• Maintain model accuracy, including proper naming conventions, families, parameters, and project standards.
• Upload models to the BIM cloud for design coordination, site construction, and project requirements.
• Assist project teams in delivering BIM outputs within project deadlines and quality standards.
• Perform basic model quality checks to ensure compliance with BIM execution plans and project requirements.
• Organize and manage project files, model versions, drawings, and documentation in a structured manner.

The Ideal Candidate Should Possess

• NVQ Level 4 or above in Drafting Technology / Civil Engineering / Construction Technology, OR
• Diploma in Civil Engineering, Architectural Technology, Building Information Modelling, or equivalent qualification.
• Good proficiency in Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD.
• Strong ability to read and interpret architectural drawings (priority), as well as structural and MEP drawings.
• Prior experience in drafting or architectural/BIM experience will be considered a strong advantage.
• Understanding of construction methods, building components, and architectural detailing principles.
• Good attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate and high-quality BIM models and drawings.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Knowledge of BIM frameworks, Autodesk Recap, CloudCompare, Faro Scene, or other point cloud processing tools will be an added advantage.
• Experience in Scan-to-BIM workflows, reality capture, or laser scanning data processing will be an added advantage.
• Prior experience in BIM modelling, Revit drafting, or construction documentation will be an added advantage.
• Fresh graduates or entry-level candidates with strong Revit and CAD skills are encouraged to apply.
