Lecturer in Bioscience
Role Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Lecturer in Bioscience to join our faculty. You will deliver high-quality teaching in bioscience subjects relevant to optometry, drive curriculum development, and conduct impactful research to support our mission of excellence in education, research, and community service.
Key Responsibilities
- Instruct in Human/Ocular Anatomy & Physiology, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Microbiology, and Genetics.
- Create lesson plans, develop online resources, and assess students.
- Review curricula, update content, and assist with accreditation.
- Publish in journals, secure grants, and present at conferences.
- Oversee undergraduate and postgraduate research; mentor students.
- Participate in vision screening and build institutional collaborations.
- Maintain academic standards, attend meetings, and support student recruitment.
Requirements/Qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree with First Class or Second Class Upper Division Honours in Bioscience, Biomedical Science, Biological Sciences, or a related field.
- A Master's degree in a relevant discipline.
- Prior experience in higher education teaching and laboratory-based research.
- A track record of publications in peer-reviewed journals.
