Role Summary

The Archives is an intimate hospitality property in the heart of Galle Fort, featuring a refined restaurant, cocktail bar, and four boutique hotel rooms. We are seeking an experienced, guest-focused hospitality professional to lead the restaurant and hotel operation as one complete experience. This is a hands-on, floor-based management position requiring active involvement in daily service and team leadership.

Requirements/Qualifications

• Proven management experience in an upscale restaurant, refined dining environment, boutique hotel, or similar hospitality operation.
• Strong knowledge of food, wine, beverage service, and sequence of service.
• Experience managing restaurant floor operations, service flow, reservations, and guest relations.
• Experience handling boutique hotel reservations, pre-arrival communication, check-ins, check-outs, and guest requests.
• Familiarity with Booking.com and similar online booking platforms.
• Fluent, natural, and confident English communication skills.
• A warm, composed, well-presented, and genuinely hospitable personality.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to train staff, maintain discipline, and hold the team accountable.
• Excellent organization, attention to detail, and commercial awareness.
• The ability to remain calm, make decisions, and take ownership during demanding situations.
