Role Summary

The Sri Lanka Centre for Development Facilitation (SLCDF) is seeking a consultant to design and deliver five financial literacy training programmes for project beneficiaries under the "Let the Women Decide their Destiny" project. The goal is to empower participants with essential financial knowledge, including budgeting, savings strategies, and understanding financial products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a simple, context-appropriate one-day financial literacy training module.
  • Facilitate five one-day training sessions for approximately 25 participants each.
  • Employ participatory and adult learning methodologies, including group discussions, case studies, and role-play.
  • Conduct pre- and post-training assessments to measure learning outcomes.
  • Submit training reports for all sessions.

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Proven experience in designing and delivering financial literacy or related training programmes.
  • Strong command of participatory and adult learning training methodologies.
  • Prior experience conducting trainings with marginalized or vulnerable communities.
  • Familiarity with the socio-economic context of the target districts is an advantage.

Location

Training sessions will be held in the following Divisional Secretariat Divisions (DSDs):

  • Kurunegala: Alawwa, Rideegama, Ibbagamuwa
  • Anuradhapura: Kekirawa, Ibbagamuwa

Salary/Benefits

Interested consultants are requested to submit a financial proposal including:

  • Resource person fee (per day and/or per programme).
  • Transportation costs for the Resource Person to and from training venues.

Note: SLCDF will be responsible for organizing all logistics, including participant selection, venue arrangements, and food/refreshments.
