The Restaurant Cashier is responsible for greeting customers, taking orders, processing payments, and ensuring a smooth checkout experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers politely and assist with their orders.
• Take food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS system.
• Process payments (cash, credit/debit cards, mobile payments).
• Issue receipts, refunds, or change accurately.
• Maintain a clean and organized cashier counter.
• Answer customer questions about menu items and prices.
• Handle customer complaints politely and report issues to the supervisor.
• Balance the cash register at the beginning and end of shifts.
• Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure correct orders.
• Follow restaurant policies and hygiene standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• Previous cashier or customer service experience (preferred)
• Ability to stand for long periods and work flexible hours
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Basic computer or POS system knowledge
