Cinnamon Development Officer (Grade III)

Role Summary

The Department of Cinnamon Development is recruiting for 24 positions of Cinnamon Development Officer (Grade III) in the Associate Officer Service Category. This is a permanent and pensionable position.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, collecting, analyzing, and presenting research papers related to cinnamon.
• Implement laboratory and field-level testing services.
• Maintain databases related to the cinnamon industry.
• Implement certification programs and assist in field audits.
• Provide support for business consulting services and stakeholder registration.
• Prepare periodic reports for the Monitoring Officer.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Education: Four-year Honours Degree in Agriculture, Biological Sciences, Applied Biology, Agribusiness Management, Green Technology, or Plantation Management from a recognized university.
• Age: Between 21 and 35 years as of 20.07.2026.
• Citizenship: Must be a citizen of Sri Lanka.
• Physical Fitness: Must possess adequate physical and mental fitness to perform duties in any part of the country.
• Character: Must bear an excellent character.
