Airport and Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) (Private) Limited (AASL) is hiring for the position of Civil Engineer on a contract basis.

Job Scope

• Contract administration and supervision of assigned infrastructure development projects at Airports and other stations by maintaining High level of Engineering ethics and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

• Administration of Contracts of assigned projects.
• Manage the assigned Construction projects and ensure its completion within the stipulated time, cost and quality standards.
• Supervision of construction works to ensure the compliance with standards, specifications and quality.
• Review of shop drawings and other documents submitted by the Contractors for approval.
• Approval of samples and mockups.
• Monitoring of allocation of resources to ensure the achievement of progress as planned.
• Preparation of reports.
• Evaluation of claims for Extension of Time and other claims of the Contractor as per the Conditions of Contract.
• Certifying payments.
• Serve in Bid Evaluation Committees.
• Preparation of Contract documents.
• Any other responsibilities assigned by the Head of the Division or an authorized person.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Educational: Should possess 4 years full time B.Sc. Degree in relevant specialized field in Engineering from an university recognized by University Grant Commission (UGC).
• Professional: Should possess Membership at the level of Member (M) of Institution of Engineers Sri Lanka (IESL).
• Experience: A minimum of 5 years post qualifying experience as an Engineer in the relevant field (After obtaining the 4 years full time B.Sc. Degree).
• Age: Should be below 40 years on the closing date of applications.

• Period of Contract: 02 Years
