Civil Engineer

Zahira College is looking for passionate, dynamic, and inspirational candidates with a proven track record and relevant educational background with sufficient experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage construction, renovation, and maintenance projects of college infrastructure.
• Prepare detailed project reports, cost estimates, and technical drawings.
• Ensure all projects are executed in compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, suppliers, and government agencies.
• Monitor project progress, resolve technical issues, and ensure timely completion.
• Maintain accurate records of all engineering activities and submit regular reports.

Requirements/Qualifications

• BSc. Engineering (Civil) degree from a recognized university or related qualification accredited by the Institution of Engineers, Sri Lanka (IESL) or other overseas university approved by the UGC.
• Associate Membership of IESL (corporate membership is an added advantage).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering or building construction projects.
• Proficient in using AutoCAD, MS Project, and other relevant engineering software.
• Good interpersonal skills with excellent communication in English; preferably trilingual.
