Role Summary

John Keells Properties is seeking a dynamic Project Engineer - Civil to join the team at VIMAN, contributing to the creation of innovative and sustainable living spaces.

Key Responsibilities

• Overseeing all construction-related work, including construction sequencing, labour handling and management, and construction progress.
• Liaising with the Procurement Manager to coordinate material requirements and delivery timings.
• Liaising with the Engineering Manager to coordinate detailed requirements and the issuance of drawings.
• Ensuring the maintenance of all plant and equipment, including scaffolding.
• Ensuring the orderly functioning of the re-bar bending yard and other preparation areas.
• Assisting the Engineering Manager in preparing method statements, carrying out testing, and obtaining approvals.
• Managing the testing, commissioning, and handing over of all civil and architectural work.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• Experience: Minimum of 7–8 years of experience in the construction industry, with proven experience in building construction or property development projects.
• Skills: Sound understanding of construction methodologies, sequencing, and site management practices; strong knowledge of civil and architectural construction processes.
