Cleaning Supervisor

Contrinex Ceylon is a BOI approved company in Wattala and is a subsidiary of Contrinex Group Switzerland. We manufacture sensors as a production hub upholding strict Swiss quality standards to serve the global market.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supervise cleaning and gardening staff and allocate daily tasks.
• Supervise external service providers and suppliers to ensure all services are carried out in compliance with company standards and requirements.
• Ensure factory premises, offices, washrooms, pantries, meeting rooms, and outdoor areas are clean, organized, and hygienic.
• Monitor staff attendance, performance, and completion of assigned duties.
• Manage cleaning materials, equipment, and inventory.
• Ensure floors are swept, vacuumed, and mopped, and used plates and cups are cleared promptly.
• Supervise pantry and tea arrangement services.
• Conduct regular inspections and ensure proper waste disposal and hygiene standards.
• Report maintenance issues, damages, deficiencies, and repair requirements to management.
• Ensure safe handling and storage of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Maintain daily records and assist management with staff performance evaluations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience: Minimum 3 to 4 years of proven experience in commercial cleaning, janitorial services, or hotel housekeeping.
• Skills: Strong leadership, team management, and effective communication skills in Sinhala and Tamil conversational in English.
• Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with professional cleaning chemicals, safety data sheets, and operating industrial cleaning machinery.
• Physical Fitness: Capable of active on-site work, supervision rounds, and standing/walking for long shifts.
• Reliability: Often requires a clean record, punctuality, and flexibility to work rotating shifts, weekends, or holidays as required.
