IT Consultant to Review Internal Server Mechanisms and Microsoft Azure Management

Role Summary

The consultant will conduct a comprehensive review of the organization’s internal server mechanisms and Microsoft Azure environment to provide recommendations for improved administration, security, performance, backup, access control, monitoring, and governance.

Key Responsibilities

• Review internal server architecture (hardware, OS, storage, user access, and administrative controls).
• Assess server health, uptime, capacity, and performance.
• Review Microsoft Azure tenancy, subscriptions, resource groups, identity and access management, network settings, and administrative roles.
• Assess security controls (authentication, authorization, logging, and threat protection).
• Review backup, disaster recovery, business continuity, and restore testing.
• Review monitoring, alerts, patch management, and incident response procedures.
• Identify configuration risks, duplication, outdated systems, and cost optimization opportunities.
• Produce a prioritized remediation roadmap.

Requirements/Qualifications

• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in server administration, Microsoft Azure management, or cloud infrastructure review.
• Strong knowledge of identity and access management, security, backup, monitoring, and disaster recovery.
• Experience conducting IT assessments and preparing technical reports.
• Relevant Microsoft certifications are an advantage.

Duration

The assignment will be carried out over four weeks from the date of commencement.
