CNC Programmer cum Operator
Role Summary
Gamini Engineering Works is a reputed market leader in the manufacture of Tea & Rubber machinery. The CNC Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring CNC machines to manufacture precision components in accordance with engineering drawings, production schedules, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure machine efficiency and maintain product quality.
- Conduct routine inspections.
- Comply with all safety and company procedures.
- Operate CNC, turning, or machining center machines according to production schedules.
Requirements/Qualifications
- Educational Qualifications: G.C.E. Ordinary Level (O/L). Certificate or NVQ 3 or upper in CNC Machining, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field is an advantage. Vocational training in CNC machine operation from a recognized technical institute is preferred.
- Experience: 1–3 years of experience operating CNC and/or turning machines. Experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment is preferred.
- Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications. Knowledge of measuring instruments (Vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, dial indicators). Basic understanding of CNC programming (G-code and M-code). Familiarity with machine setup, tooling, and offsets. Experience with CNC machining centers (Fanuc, Siemens, Mitsubishi, or Haas controls). Knowledge of machining processes, cutting tools, feeds, and speeds. Basic computer literacy.
