Role Summary

We are looking for responsible, motivated and performance-driven Cage Supervisors to join our broiler farm operations. The selected candidates will have full responsibility for the day-to-day management and production performance of assigned broiler cages/houses, from chick placement through thinning and final culling.

Key Responsibilities

• Take full responsibility for broiler production performance, including growth, mortality, feed efficiency and overall flock performance.
• Maintain accurate daily records and books for all inputs and outputs, including chicks, feed, medication, vaccines, mortality, body weightings, thinning and culling.
• Monitor flock performance and ensure birds achieve the required body-weight and production targets.
• Plan and coordinate thinning and final culling according to requirements.
• Maintain vaccination and flock-health program according to the approved schedule.
• Ensure correct administration of vaccines, medications and other flock treatments.
• Supervise cage/house cleaning, washing, disinfection and preparation between batches.
• Identify issues with facility problems and ensure regular and preventive maintenance work is completed on time.
• Monitor feeding, drinking-water systems, ventilation, cooling, lighting and other environmental conditions.
• Supervise farm workers and ensure that daily duties are completed correctly and on time.
• Maintain high standards of biosecurity, hygiene, discipline and farm cleanliness.
• Immediately report unusual mortality, disease symptoms, equipment failures or production problems to management.

Requirements/Qualifications

• Diploma in Animal Science / Livestock Production or equivalent qualification.
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
• Good knowledge of poultry/broiler management.
• Ability to maintain accurate production records.
• Good planning and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage and motivate farm workers.
• A responsible, disciplined and hands-on approach to work.
• Willingness to be accountable for the performance of the assigned broiler houses.
• Previous experience in commercial broiler farming will be a strong advantage.
