Extension Officer

Nelna Agri Development (Pvt) Ltd is a diversified and rapidly expanding business venture specializing in agro-livestock products. We are looking for a motivated and dynamic Extension Officer to strengthen our agricultural sourcing and farmer development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Build and maintain strong relationships with farmers, suppliers, and other agricultural stakeholders.
• Register new farmers and expand the company's farmer network.
• Conduct regular field visits to monitor crop growth, quality, harvesting schedules, and provide technical guidance to farmers.
• Identify new sourcing locations, agricultural products, and procurement opportunities.
• Ensure a consistent supply of high-quality produce by monitoring crop availability and farmer performance.
• Organize and conduct farmer training programs to improve productivity, quality, and sustainable farming practices.
• Ensure compliance with company quality standards, food safety requirements, and agricultural best practices.
• Perform field operations efficiently while maintaining effective communication and coordination with internal teams.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma or Degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, or an equivalent professional qualification.
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in agricultural extension, farmer development, or a similar field-based role.
• Sound technical knowledge of crop cultivation, agricultural best practices, and extension services.
• Good understanding of the agricultural industry, including production, sourcing, and supply chain operations.
• Experience in farmer coordination, agricultural sourcing, and field operations will be an added advantage.
• Strong communication, negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated, capable of working independently, and willing to travel extensively for field operations.
• Excellent time management and the ability to prioritize tasks in a dynamic field environment.
