Job Profile:

  • Ensure the timely, accurate, and complete submission of FinNet reports and other regulatory returns to relevant authorities.
  • Review and monitor compliance with Banking Act Directions, regulatory requirements, and applicable laws and regulations.
  • Conduct functional and departmental compliance reviews in line with the Annual Compliance Monitoring Plan.
  • Review, analyze, and investigate AML/CFT alerts to identify unusual or suspicious transactions and escalate findings where necessary.
  • Perform periodic reviews of AML monitoring systems to ensure alerts are generated appropriately based on defined risk scenarios.
  • Assist in monitoring compliance risks, identifying regulatory gaps, and recommending corrective actions.
  • Support the implementation of compliance initiatives, policies, procedures, and awareness programs across the Bank.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders and regulators on compliance-related matters when required.

Candidate Prerequisites:

  • Full/part qualification from a recognized professional body in Banking, Finance, Compliance, Audit, Risk Management, or a related field.
  • Possession of a Bachelor's Degree/Master's Degree from a recognized university in Law, Finance, Economics, Banking, Business Administration, or a related discipline would be beneficial.
  • Minimum 05 - 06 years of experience in a similar context in a commercial banking environment. Experience in regulatory reporting, compliance monitoring, and review processes is essential.
  • Sound knowledge of CBSL Banking Act Directions, regulatory requirements, and governance frameworks applicable to the banking industry.
  • Strong knowledge of AML/CFT, Countering Proliferation Financing (PF) regulations, Customer Due Diligence (CDD), and transaction monitoring processes.
  • Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication, report writing, and stakeholder management skills.
