Role Summary

A leading international construction company is on the lookout for a person for the post of Senior Quantity Surveyor.

Kelaniya

Key Responsibilities

• Measurement & BOQ Support: Take off quantities from civil drawings, assist in preparing BOQ and cost breakdowns, and maintain accurate measurement records.
• Cost Control & Estimation Assistance: Support preparation of cost estimates, rate analyses, and budget updates; track material usage and labour productivity; monitor project cost deviations.
• Site-Level Commercial Support: Verify subcontractor work, prepare measurement sheets, assist in progress claims and interim valuations, and conduct site visits.
• Contract & Documentation Support: Prepare and review variation claims and change orders; maintain contract files and correspondence logs; ensure compliance with project specifications.
• Reporting & Coordination: Prepare commercial reports, coordinate with engineers and subcontractors, and attend site meetings.

Requirements/Qualifications

• BSc/HND qualification from a recognized University/Institute.
• Minimum 02 years’ experience in building construction.
• Ability to work independently under minimum supervision.
• Good communication skills.
• Software knowledge in AutoCAD, MS Project & MS Office package.
• Experience in steel buildings/pre-engineered buildings (PEB’s) is an added advantage.
