Business Analyst - On Contract

1.0 The Job/Responsibilities:

• Elucidate, analyse, and validate business, functional, non-functional, reporting, data, and integration requirements in consultation with relevant stakeholders to support the development of solutions that meet identified business needs.
• Develop business requirement documents, user stories, use cases, process flows, workflow diagrams, acceptance criteria, and other project documentation to ensure clear communication of business requirements and support effective solution development.
• Analyze existing business processes, identify gaps and improvement opportunities, and recommend practical solutions.
• Coordinate with project managers, solution architects, software developers, Quality Assurance, Infrastructure and cybersecurity teams, vendors and business users to facilitate effective requirements management and project delivery.
• Support backlog refinement, sprint planning, requirement prioritization, change impact analysis, and scope management in Agile or hybrid project environments to facilitate effective requirements management and project delivery.
• Assist in preparation of test scenarios, user acceptance testing, defect clarification, training materials, user guides, and other project-related documentation.
• Assess requirements and proposed solutions against applicable information security, data protection, operational, audit, and regulatory requirements to support compliant and controlled solution delivery.

2.0 Required Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Business Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Business Administration, Engineering or an Information Technology related discipline) or a related field obtained from a local or foreign University.

2.2 Experience:

• Minimum of two (02) years of post-qualification experience in business analysis including experience in preparing business requirements documents, functional specifications, user stories, process flows, test scenarios, and user acceptance testing.
• Experience in banking, financial services, government, or other regulated enterprise environments will be an added advantage.

3.0 Preferred Qualifications:

• Professional qualifications in business analysis - CBAP, CCBA or PMI-PBA certification.

4.0 Required Skills:

• Proficiency with business analysis tools, project management and diagramming tools, familiarity with tools like Excel, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or other data visualization and analysis software.
