Kitchen Assistant / Cook (Stay-in Position)

Role Summary

A well-established villa in Kandy is seeking a dedicated and reliable Kitchen Assistant / Cook for a full-time stay-in position. The successful candidate will assist with food preparation, maintain kitchen cleanliness, and support the daily operations of the kitchen while ensuring high standards of food quality and hygiene.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and cooking of meals.
• Prepare ingredients and ensure meals are served on time.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and work areas.
• Wash and store kitchen equipment and utensils.
• Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
• Assist with stock handling and basic inventory management.
• Support the kitchen team with other duties as required.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential.
• Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen hygiene.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Honest, reliable, and willing to learn.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Willingness to work weekends and public holidays when required.
• Must be willing to stay at the villa (live-in position).
