Core Network Engineer
Renrui Lanka Services (Pvt) Ltd is expanding its talent pool and seeking an experienced Core Network Engineer to join our team. The selected candidate will be assigned to one of our multinational clients and will work closely with the client's engineering team, supporting the planning, operation, maintenance, and optimization of mobile core network infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities :
- Perform end-to-end troubleshooting and root cause analysis of mobile Core Network issues, including call trace analysis using Wireshark or similar tools.
- Provide Level 2 and Level 3 technical support for Core Network technologies, including CS, PS, IMS, and VoLTE environments.
- Execute firmware upgrades, hardware updates, configuration changes, and maintenance activities for network elements, controllers, and routers.
- Monitor network alarms, KPIs, and overall network performance to ensure service availability, reliability, and optimal network health.
- Manage trouble tickets, technical documentation, maintenance records, and ensure compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and change management procedures.
- Collaborate with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to deliver maintenance and engineering projects while preparing technical reports and documentation in English.
Qualifications & Experience :
- Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related engineering discipline.
- Experience in mobile Core Network engineering, operations, and troubleshooting, with hands-on experience of CS, PS, IMS, and VoLTE environments.
- Strong understanding of 3GPP standards and protocols, with experience working on core network elements such as MME, SGW, PGW, AMF, SMF, UPF, and DNS.
- Proficiency in network monitoring, packet analysis (e.g., Wireshark), and basic automation using Python or Bash scripting.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and customer management skills, with experience in technical support, project delivery, and English documentation.
