Role Summary

The Counsellor (Career Guidance Unit) is responsible for empowering students to achieve their academic and career aspirations by providing expert guidance on university pathways and career opportunities, enabling them to make informed decisions while promoting the educational offerings of the Royal Institute Group.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one university and career guidance to students and parents.
• Advise students on higher education pathways and career opportunities.
• Promote Royal Institute Campus (RIC) programmes and support student progression.
• Organize university fairs, career workshops, information sessions, and related events.
• Monitor student applications, university placements, and progression.
• Collaborate with the Marketing and Admissions teams to promote university pathway programmes.
• Develop and implement annual career guidance programmes for students in Years 9-13.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of global universities, career trends, and all Royal Institute Campus academic programmes.

Requirements/Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Marketing, Human Resources, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in university admissions, career guidance, academic advising, student counselling, or a customer-facing advisory role.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong knowledge of higher education pathways and career planning.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students and parents.
• Proactive, student-focused, and service-oriented approach.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
