Marine Personnel Officer (Crewing & Recruitment)

Role Summary

ACME International Shipping is seeking a motivated, organized and enthusiastic Marine Personnel Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will support the recruitment, documentation and administration of seafarers serving on international vessels while working closely with clients, Masters and crew members.

Key Responsibilities

• Recruit & Coordinate Crew: Recruit and coordinate Masters, Officers and Ratings.
• Documentation & Records: Verify certificates, medicals, visas and travel documents. Maintain crew databases and personnel records.
• Crew Changes: Coordinate crew changes and travel arrangements.
• Liaise: Liaise with shipowners, Masters, agents and seafarers.
• Contracts & Compliance: Prepare employment contracts and joining documentation. Monitor certificate validity and ensure compliance with STCW, MLC 2006 and company procedures.
• Administration & Support: Provide general crew administration and welfare support.

Requirements

• Age preferably between 25–35 years.
• Successfully completed GCE Advanced Level (A/L) or an equivalent qualification.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken.
• Diploma or similar qualification in Logistics, Shipping, Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field will be considered an added advantage.
• Minimum 1–2 years' experience in administration, HR, recruitment, shipping, logistics or a related field.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet applications.
• Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Willingness to learn maritime regulations, crew documentation and recruitment procedures.
• Previous experience as a Marine Personnel Officer or in a crewing/shipping company will be considered an added advantage.
