Cybersecurity Analyst

Location: HQ - Colombo, Sri Lanka

Key Responsibilities:

  • Continuously monitor and triage security alerts from CrowdStrike XDR, Microsoft Defender, Email Security Gateways, and Firewalls
  • Assist in the investigation and initial response to cybersecurity incidents, phishing attacks, and other suspicious activities
  • Manage and monitor inbound and outbound email traffic through email security gateways, analysing and responding to spam, phishing, malware, and other email-based threats
  • Support user access management, email security, endpoint protection, and security administration within the Microsoft 365 environment
  • Monitor the organisation's security posture using Microsoft Azure security dashboards and third-party security platforms
  • Collaborate with the security team to identify vulnerabilities and implement remediation measures
  • Participate in the deployment and implementation of cybersecurity solutions and IT infrastructure projects
  • Contribute to daily SOC operations by ensuring timely incident response, remediation, and escalation when required
  • Maintain security documentation, operational records, and incident reports
  • Work on a roster-based shift schedule

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in Cybersecurity, Security Operations Centre (SOC), or a similar information security role
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field from a recognised institution
  • Specialisation in Cybersecurity will be an added advantage
  • Good understanding of Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) and Microsoft Security & Compliance solutions
  • Familiarity with XDR platforms, SIEM solutions, and security monitoring tools
  • Experience working with email security gateways and email threat analysis
  • Understanding of endpoint security, identity protection, and Data Loss Prevention (DLP) concepts
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to stay up to date with evolving cybersecurity threats and technologies
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills with a good command of English
  • Ability to multitask, prioritise work effectively, and perform well under pressure
  • Professional certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Microsoft SC-200, SC-300, AZ-500, CrowdStrike certifications, or equivalent will be an added advantage
