Role Summary

Astron is a market leader in the pharmaceutical industry with a history of 70 years. Our ICT team is looking for a dynamic, driven, determined, and charismatic individual to join us.

Key Responsibilities

• Acquire data sets that align with business needs (relevant for business analysis and data mining).
• Develop algorithms to transform data into useful, actionable information.
• Build, test, and maintain database pipeline architectures (mainly MySQL and other big-data sources).
• Collaborate with the Management to understand company objectives.
• Create new data validation methods and data analysis tools.
• Ensure compliance with data governance and security policies.

Requirements / Qualifications

• Coding: SQL, NoSQL, Java, Python, R, Tableau, PHP.
• DMS/RDMS Skill: MS-SQL, MySQL, Mongo DB.
• ETL Skill: Stitch, Talend, Xplenty, Apache Airflow, Airbyte, or similar tools.
• Data Storage: Data Lakes and Data Warehouse.
• Automation and Scripting: RPA.
• Machine Learning and AI integration.
• Big data tools: Hadoop, Kafka, Hive, Spark, Pig.
• Cloud computing.
• Education: BSc/B.Eng. in IT, Software Engineering, Data Science, or Statistics.
• Experience: At least 1-2 years in a similar role.
• Power BI Experience.
• Best Practices: Experience with data engineering best practices.
• Added Advantage: PHP/MySQL programming.
