Deputy Project Manager - CEP
Asset Engineering (Pvt) Ltd is a distinguished CS1-grade and ISO Certified company in Sri Lanka, with a rich legacy in Civil Engineering and involvement in major construction projects across the country. We are looking for an experienced and dynamic professional to join our team for the Central Expressway Project (CEP).
Responsibilities
- Assist the Project Manager in planning, managing, and coordinating overall project operations.
- Supervise and coordinate daily site activities, subcontractors, consultants, and the project team.
- Monitor project progress against approved work programs, schedules, budgets, and targets.
- Ensure construction activities are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, contract requirements, and quality standards.
- Monitor quality, health & safety, and environmental requirements throughout project activities.
- Coordinate manpower, materials, machinery, equipment, and other project resources effectively.
- Assist in identifying and resolving technical, construction, and site-related issues.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
- Monitor project documentation, site records, progress reports, and other relevant project requirements.
- Support effective cost control and ensure efficient utilization of project resources.
- Assist in ensuring timely completion of project milestones while maintaining quality and budget requirements.
- Support the Project Manager in implementing project plans and achieving overall project objectives.
Requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience, with substantial experience in major road / expressway construction projects.
- Experience in large-scale infrastructure projects, preferably expressway projects, will be highly advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of road construction, earthworks, pavement, drainage, structures, and related civil works.
- Proven experience in site management, project coordination, subcontractor management, and resource planning.
- Good understanding of construction drawings, specifications, BOQs, work programs, and project documentation.
- Strong leadership, team management, communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to coordinate multiple activities and work effectively under project deadlines.
- Proficiency in MS Office and project documentation / management systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to handle site and project-related challenges.
- Willingness to work at project sites and undertake duties as required by the project.
