Post of Director

The Board of the Swamy Vipulananda Institute of Aesthetic Studies, Eastern University, Sri Lanka and the Council of Eastern University, Sri Lanka, invite applications for the post of Director from eminently qualified citizens of Sri Lanka to take over the leadership of the Institute.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Principal Executive Officer, Principal Academic Officer, and Accounting Officer of the Institute.
• Act as the Chairman of the Board and Chairman of the Academic Syndicate.
• Responsible for providing academic leadership, formulating, conducting, and managing policies.
• Implementing the decisions of the Board and the Council of Eastern University, Sri Lanka.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Tenure: 03 years
• Age: Should be less than 63 years
• Salary Scale: U-AC 5 (II) - Rs. 198,280 - 13 x 4,850 - 261,330/- p.m. (A candidate presently drawing a salary higher than this will be placed at the same salary level drawn at present.)
• Prospective applicants are required to submit a statement of vision for the development of the Institute, a brief account of what he/she proposes to achieve if appointed to the post of Director, and a full Curriculum Vitae, including the date of birth of the applicant.
• Where the incumbent is an applicant or has held the post of Director of the Institute before, he/she shall submit a report highlighting accomplishments during his/her first period of office, in addition to the documents mentioned in the paragraph above.
