Director General (CEO)

Role Summary

The Director General (CEO) is the highest level Executive Officer of the Arthur C Clarke Institute for Modern Technologies (ACCIMT), responsible for administrative and financial affairs, providing leadership, and managing technology transfer.

Responsibilities

• Overall administrative and financial control of the Institute.
• Formulate plans and direct activities to enhance production and increase revenue.
• Advice the Board on policy matters.
• Coordinate with relevant agencies and international matters.
• Attend Board meetings and represent the Institute at conferences.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Education: Bachelor of Science in Engineering or relevant field (Physics/Astronomy/Space Science/Geomatics/Mathematics). PhD or Chartered Engineer status required for external candidates.
• Experience: Minimum 20 years of experience as an Engineer/Scientist with at least 5-10 years at a Senior Managerial level.
• Age: Between 35 and 55 years (upper limit not applicable to internal candidates).
• Citizenship: Must be a citizen of Sri Lanka with excellent moral character.
