HEAD OF SCHOOL

Our client, a leading higher education institution and part of a well-established diversified conglomerate in Sri Lanka, is seeking an accomplished academic leader to join its leadership team as the Head of School

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and direction for the School of Foundation Studies.
• Lead and inspire faculty members to deliver high-quality, student-centred teaching and learning.
• Drive the development, enhancement, and introduction of new foundation programmes across multiple disciplines.
• Ensure academic quality, curriculum excellence, and continuous improvement of policies and procedures.
• Foster an engaging and supportive learning environment that prepares students for successful progression to undergraduate studies.
• Oversee academic planning, resource management, programme delivery, and faculty performance.
• Promote innovation, research, and best practices in higher education.

Requirements

• Master's or Doctoral degree in a relevant discipline (professional qualifications will be an added advantage).
• Minimum of 5 years' post-qualification leadership experience within the higher education sector.
• Proven experience managing Foundation, Pre-University, or International Pathway programmes.
• Strong background in academic leadership, curriculum development, quality assurance, and education management.
• Excellent leadership, mentoring, communication, planning, and stakeholder management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary academic teams and deliver an exceptional student experience
