Electrical Technician

Role Summary

The Electrician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems and machinery in the factory to ensure safe and efficient production operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance for factory electrical systems and machinery.
• Troubleshoot and repair PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) and HMI (Human Machine Interface) systems.
• Install and maintain electrical wiring, control panels, motors, PLC, and HMI systems.
• Ensure all electrical work complies with safety standards and company procedures.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide support for machine installation and other maintenance tasks as required.

Requirements

• NVQ Level 4 or Level 3 (Technical College) in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in factory electrical maintenance (manufacturing industry experience is an added advantage).
• Good knowledge of Single Phase and Three Phase electrical systems, motors, control panels, PLC, and HMI.
• Experience in maintaining and troubleshooting Extruder and Cutting Machines is an added advantage.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.
• Willingness to work in shifts and attend to emergency breakdown repairs.
