As part of the continued expansion of our Enterprise Infrastructure Solutions business, DMS Electronics (Pvt) Ltd is looking for a skilled and motivated Systems Engineer to join our technical team.

 

Position: Systems Engineer (VMware / Enterprise Infrastructure)

The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing, supporting, maintaining and troubleshooting mission-critical enterprise virtualization and infrastructure environments, with a strong focus on VMware technologies.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, configure, upgrade and troubleshoot VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF), vSphere, ESXi and vCenter Server environments.
• Work with VMware technologies including Tanzu, vSAN, NSX, VMware Live Recovery, VCF Operations and VCF Automation.
• Perform Physical-to-Virtual (P2V) and Virtual-to-Virtual (V2V) migration activities.
• Implement and support disaster recovery, replication, high availability and business continuity solutions.
• Support VMware networking, security and load-balancing technologies, including NSX, VMware vDefend and Avi Load Balancer.
• Support Kubernetes and cloud-native platforms, including VMware Kubernetes technologies and related enterprise platforms.
• Monitor and optimize infrastructure performance, availability, capacity and resource utilization.
• Participate in infrastructure assessments, health checks, technology refreshes, upgrades and optimization projects.
• Work closely with customers to understand their technical requirements and provide appropriate technical recommendations.
• Provide L2 technical support and troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues.
• Prepare technical documentation, implementation plans and customer-facing reports where required.

The Profile

• 3–5+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise systems, virtualization or infrastructure technologies.
• Strong hands-on experience with VMware vSphere, ESXi and vCenter Server.
• Experience with VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) or VMware vSphere Foundation (VVF) will be highly advantageous.
• Knowledge or hands-on experience with Tanzu, vSAN, NSX, VMware Live Recovery, VCF Operations and VCF Automation will be an added advantage.
• Strong understanding of HA, DRS, vMotion, Storage vMotion, clusters and VMware lifecycle management.
• Practical experience with backup, disaster recovery, replication and recovery solutions.
• Experience with enterprise servers, SAN/NAS storage and data-centre infrastructure will be an advantage.
• Knowledge or experience in Kubernetes and cloud-native technologies will be an advantage.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication, presentation and customer-facing skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a technical team.
• Self-motivated, customer-focused and committed to continuously learning new technologies.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites and work extended hours when required.

 

Professional Certifications

      Candidates with relevant professional certifications will be preferred.

VMware by Broadcom certifications:

• VCP – VMware Cloud Foundation 9 Administrator
• VCP – VMware Cloud Foundation 9 Support

Certifications or qualifications in Red Hat, Kubernetes and related enterprise infrastructure technologies will also be considered an advantage.
