Junior Data Analyst

Role Summary: We are looking for a Junior Data Analyst to join our Warehouse Operations team in Katunayake. The ideal candidate will be responsible for converting operational data into meaningful reports, dashboards, and insights to support better decision-making and insights to improve warehouse and order-processing performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly operational reports.
• Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards for warehouse and order-processing operations.
• Analyze order-processing performance, including:
  • Orders received and completed
  • Pending and delayed orders
  • Order processing line
  • Picking and packing performance
  • Order accuracy and errors
  • Daily/weekly/monthly productivity
• Develop dashboards to monitor warehouse KPIs and operational performance.
• Analyse operational data and identify trends, deviations, bottlenecks and improvement opportunities.
• Prepare management reports and present key findings in a clear and concise manner.
• Work closely with Warehouse, Order Processing, Operations, Sales and IT teams to ensure data accuracy and availability.
• Support the development and improvement of ERP-based operational reports.
• Maintain accurate data and reporting formats.
• Automate repetitive reporting activities wherever possible.
• Provide ad-hoc analysis and reports required by management.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Diploma/Degree in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Information Technology, Statistics, Supply Chain, Operations Management or a related field.
• Strong practical knowledge of Microsoft Power BI is essential.
• Good knowledge of:
  • Power BI dashboards and visualizations
  • Data modelling
  • Power Query
  • DAX
  • Microsoft Excel
  • Data analysis and reporting
• Strong understanding of data visualization and dashboard design.
• Ability to convert raw operational data into clear and useful management information.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work with operational teams and understand business processes.
• Experience in ERP systems, warehouse, logistics or order-processing environments will be an added advantage.
