Junior Pawning Specialist (Fixed Term Contract)

Key Responsibilities
- Review and assess pawning operations across branches to ensure adherence to internal guidelines and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct inspections of pawned articles for authenticity, proper valuation, and compliance with established standards.
- Support the Pawning Specialist in designing and delivering operational and technical training programs to branch staff.
- Analyze branch-level performance metrics and provide recommendations to improve efficiency and profitability.
- Collect and analyze market intelligence on pawning trends, customer behavior, and competitor offerings.
- Assist in policy development, process improvements, and periodic reporting for management review.
- Act as a liaison between the central team and branches to communicate best practices and operational changes.
- Collaborate with branches to design and implement localized promotional campaigns and customer engagement initiatives.
- Monitor the effectiveness of pawning promotions and suggest improvements to drive higher transaction volumes.
- Participate in trade fairs, community events, or outreach programs to promote the bank’s pawning services.
Requirements/Qualifications
- Age Limit: Below 50 years.
- Successful completion of GCE O/L, Edexcel or Cambridge O/L with a minimum of a 'Credit' pass for English and Mathematics.
- Passed G.C.E. Advanced Level.
- Full or part qualification in IABF – IBSL or an equivalent banking/finance certification (preferred but not mandatory for exceptional candidates with relevant experience).
- Minimum of 12 years' experience in branch operations, with at least 10 years in pawning or gold-related services.
- Experience in training delivery, audits, or supervisory roles in banking will be a distinct advantage.
- Exposure to valuation practices, regulatory compliance, or risk assessment is highly desirable.
