Environmental & Safety Officer
We are looking for a dynamic, qualified, and experienced professional who possesses the following criteria to join our dynamic team for the post of Environmental & Safety Officer.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensure Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) requirements are properly implemented at the project site.
- Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits, and risk assessments to identify and address hazards.
- Conduct toolbox talks and safety awareness programmes for workers and site staff.
- Monitor environmental practices, including waste management, pollution control, dust, noise, and other environmental requirements.
- Ensure proper use of PPE and safety equipment and compliance with safety procedures.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Environmental Engineering, or a related field from a recognized university.
- Diploma/Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety or an equivalent qualification will be an added advantage.
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in a similar role, preferably in road, infrastructure, or high-rise building construction projects.
- Sound knowledge of environmental management, construction safety regulations, HSE standards, waste management, and pollution control.
- Strong communication, leadership, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
